Understanding your silo

Your "silo" is the isolated server 9pods provisions for your account. It's not a shared container on a multi-tenant box, it's your own VPS.

Isolation

Your silo doesn't share compute, memory, or storage with any other 9pods customer. Data you store in the apps you install stays on your server.

Resource budget

Every plan maps to a specific server size:

| Plan | Server | RAM | Typical concurrent apps | |------|--------|-----|--------------------------| | Starter | 2 vCPU / 4 GB | ~3 GB available for apps | 3-4 | | Pro | 4 vCPU / 8 GB | ~7 GB available for apps | 8-10 | | Team | 8 vCPU / 16 GB | ~15 GB available for apps | 20+ |

A small amount of RAM on every plan is reserved for the base services that make your silo work (the tunnel connection and internal proxy), the rest is yours to allocate across installed apps. The dashboard's RAM budget bar shows exactly how much headroom you have left before installing something new.

Accessing your silo's apps

Each installed app gets its own subdomain, like https://you-n8n.9pods.io, reachable through a secure Cloudflare Tunnel. There are no ports exposed directly on your server for anyone to scan or attack.
